Spicy and smokey breakfast bowl

Smoked fish is a bit of an acquired taste in my house so I usually find myself with a spare piece lying around from a pack. Kippers, smoked salmon and such are pretty luxurious breakfasts in Scotland but in the bid to save food waste I decided to experiment with a light kedgeree style bowl as a treat! I mixed coriander, turmeric, fennel, peppercorns and garam masala into the rice and combined it with the fish and a soft boiled egg – delicious !
